ISO 18404:2015 standard separates responsibilities into 2 categories as Lean and Six Sigma. There is more emphasis on creative thinking and evidence on how creative thinking was applied in completing the projects. Yellow Belt is no longer a requirement but Lean has three different levels of expertise as Lean Practitioner, Lean Leader and Lean Expert while Six Sigma has three levels as Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt. Lean & Six Sigma is providing Lean Practitioner & Green Belt, Lean Leader & Black Belt and Lean Expert and Master Black Belt.
Organizations competences are reviewed regularly by an appropriate authority.

Hello Vijay,

Thank you for asking the question but honestly I do not know why the Yellow Belt (Lean Six Sigma) is no longer included as required for certification purposes. There are many jobs that still require Yellow Belts rather than Green Belts therefore their knowledge would have to exist prior to doing projects.

Best regards,
Dorina
