Canada has authorized Pfizer's anti-COVID-19 pill. The medicine is marketed as Paxlovid and has been authorized for use in adults with mild to moderate forms of COVID-19 and at least one risk factor for the development of a severe disease. Authorities warned that "no medicine can replace vaccination."
