#edtech is different than #inclass #learning environment, therefore, the approaches of those who are working in these environments have large differences. I see that there are managers promoted who have no clue and that is no different than many industries in which managers are hired because they speak loud, etc. #positivechangesedtech #elearning #hybrid learning #synchronous #asynchronous
#skew #data is obtained when #educators who are #novices in online education are allowed to do it. In fact, everyone shall be aware of the large differences that exist between the different populations who learn either #eLearning, #synchronous, #asynchronous, vs #inperson.
#synchronous learning never had an intention from an #AI perspective to hide #studends faces. Any #robot can be disguised while introduced to a class as a decoy which is opposed to creating a #trustworthy relationship and creative environment.
#asynchronous is a different approach than #synchronous #learning and very few practitioners understand it; both students and professors etc. motivations when using the asynchronous learning paths are different - it has never been about #repetition of tasks but rather about how to #develop and #create something else that includes #beauty, #inspiration, #collaboration etc.
#educators need to engage students who are taking the courses in a #synchronous mode. I learned that K12 students don't know each other and are never engaged by their professors to learn about each other! #studentengagementonline
There are still many who consider that #synchronous #onlearning
in an #education #system is easy or not as important as an #inclass
learning #experience while it has been demonstrated that students do not engage
enough. Are the #societies in fact the culprit when creating an #environment in
which #students don’t like to #debate, #analyze, #demonstrate etc.
in #life settings?
