A brief history of Joomla
Joomla officially founded in August 2005 as an evolution of the
Mambo project and the creation of the site OpenSourceMatters.org, understood as a community of developers around the world.
In September 2005 was released the first official version of
Joomla under the name of 1.0.
Over the years there have been several releases issued 1.5 - 1.6 - 1.7 - 2.5 until the current 3.0
