Human bodies contain bacteria that are representing between 1-3% of the body mass and their role is to maintain us healthy. Each bacteria have a role within the area where it resides and they are everywhere in the gut, skin, stomach, conjunctiva etc. Both bacteria make-up and their abundance varies from one human body to another. Although we are just getting to understand their wider role in our health, it is obvious that research makes progress to understand the types and varieties as well as roles and how can we control properly their proportion within each human body.

Continuous improvement projects have the role to maintain companies healthy. The main reason why companies should have their practitioners certified in Lean Six Sigma is to ensure that they maintain the same "healthy" structure in similar ways as the body controls bacteria's type and its growth.
The number of Lean Six Sigma projects can vary depending on the company's size, business complexity, role in the community, and in the societies at large. Without a correlation between the total number of continuous improvement projects and maintenance of a healthy business body, the future of the company is on the bridge of getting malfunctions which can sometimes become difficult to detect since the tools and people qualified to analyze the company's "health" are either missing or are not properly prepared to diagnose what the challenges.
What can business do to prepare themselves to ensuring a healthy and long life in the business? It is what majority of companies that provide training have been doing for many years which is to prepare and certify people to ensure knowledge and tools are known and used appropriately. There is the database that needs to be created to ensure that projects are selected based on the sound business principles. Testing the total number of continuous improvement projects should be no lower than 3% per each company if the company wants to stay within the "doctor's" check-up and recommended dose of an "healthy" ratio.
